Kubo and Kora are two happy pups living their best lives in sunny Los Angeles! We got to speak to their paw-rent, @hey.kubo, about the pups, Yamazaki Home, and the Japanese-Scandinavian (Japandi) style that we both love.

But first … meet the pups! As a proud Shiba Inu and older brother, Kubo has a low tolerance for rude puppy behaviors but when it comes to Kora, his sometimes bratty little sister, he puts up with quite a lot. In return, when she's not begging him to play with her, she has become his adoring shadow.

Walk time? She follows wherever he leads!

Meal time? She eats whatever he eats!

Bath time? She gets in for emotional support or even brings a towel when he's done.

“We're overjoyed with how well they complement each other—some things (or Shiba Inu- Finnish Lapphund pairs) are just meant to be.” said Kubo and Kora’s paw-rent.

Lucky for us here at Yamazaki Home (where we have an office full of dog lovers), Kubo and Kora’s owner is a big fan of our designs, and we had the distinct pleasure of interviewing her. What’s more? We got to make our favorite Insta-pups Yamazaki Home models!

“My first encounter with Yamazaki Home was seeing the Tosca Dish Rack on the Apartment Therapy "Best" list. I bought it instantly for its aesthetic, and after seeing how great the quality and function was in practice, I knew I had to get other pieces in the same collection. 1. I definitely have to include my first love—the Tosca Dish Rack—in the top three. After years of use, it's held up wonderfully and continues to make my kitchen counter bright and airy, which makes washing dishes a chore I'm happy to do.

2. My number two pick goes to the skinny Rolling Storage Cart in my bathroom because it's just such a perfectly designed solution to the small bathroom storage problem, all in a sleek and stylish package! chef's kiss

3. And finally, our newest favorite, the Traceless Adhesive Magnetic Cup.

I have this cup mounted on the tile next to the bathtub for easy access during dog baths. Neither pup likes having water splashed on their face, so instead, I use this cup to gently pour water down from the center of their foreheads. Additionally, when the shampoo isn't foaming as well because of the oils in their dense coats, a cup of water like this gives it just the right amount of liquid to get more soapy. And when not in use, I just magnetize it back onto the holder so it's neatly out of my way with no risk of falling over, breaking, or making a random noise that would startle the pups.
